A 12’x9’ bedroom becomes home for a 3-year-old and her baby brother. Not a jot of pink or blue – we chose bold oranges, golden yellow, white and sage green. The stripes add sophistication. Vintage children’s posters add maturity. Everything that should be accessible is accessible – everything that should be kept out of toddlers’ way is artfully displayed high. Eventually, the crib goes away and the bed converts to bunk beds.
